Vinnie Politan and Dolly, his wife, have three children together. They got married in an intimate ceremony with only immediate family and close friends attending in 2002.
He worked as both a prosecutor and law practitioner at Carella Byrne Law firm in New Jersey. Additionally, he hosted various legal news programs on HLN and Court TV.
Early Life and Education
Vinnie Politan hails from West Orange, New Jersey and attended West Orange High School before going on to Stanford University where he earned an AB in Communication before continuing on at Seton Hall University for his law degree.
He began his legal career as a prosecutor in Bergen County, New Jersey before transitioning into private practice. Since then, he has taken on various complex cases, such as those concerning Scott Peterson, Michael Jackson, Casey Anthony and Jodi Arias; additionally becoming the first journalist ever to interview Trayvon Martin’s family members.
Vinnie Politan currently anchors Court TV as the lead anchor and is host of Closing Arguments with Vinnie Politan, an evening primetime program featuring notable true crime mysteries, trials and police films from 8-11 PM daily. Before that he worked on HLN and Atlanta NBC affiliate WXIA.

He married his wife Dolly in 2002 and currently resides with their three children Christina, Vincent Jr. and Max. Additionally he serves as a deal partner with Weichert Real Estate Professionals of Georgia as an active deal partner and avid golfer with an affinity for cars.

At West Orange High School in West Orange, New Jersey he served as captain of his basketball team both his junior and senior years, leading them to back-to-back conference championships as well as state sectional triumph. Later he attended Stanford University and graduated with an AB degree in communication studies.
He currently anchors Closing Arguments on Court TV and co-hosts In Session on truTV. In that time he has covered numerous important cases including those of Jodi Arias, Scott Peterson, Casey Anthony, Johnny Depp and many more.
