Uva Interlibrary Loan

UVA Interlibrary Loan

The UVA Interlibrary Loan Service is a resource for students and faculty members to request books and other materials from other libraries. The service is available through many academic libraries throughout Virginia, as well as the entire United States. Requested items can be held on campus or sent out on request. In addition, the service can help students and faculty find high-demand items, such as rare books and other materials.

To request an item, you can log into Virgo and search the library’s catalog for available items. To do this, sign in with your Netbadge credentials and specify the library you wish to borrow from. You should receive an email notification when the requested item is available. The University Library does not charge for this service.

You must have a valid library card to request interlibrary loan materials. Library of Virginia staff will give priority to those who are working for state judicial or legislative agencies. Applicants should be 18 or older and have an unblocked JMRL library card. They should plan to pick up and return the item to the same library. The interlibrary loan service does not accept materials that are more than a year old.
