Getting Thomas Back For the New Orleans Saints
Thomas has much to prove on the field this season following an injury-ridden campaign, especially given his reputation for dangerous wide receiver play in the NFL.
But success will come one milestone and small victory at a time – that’s how he works!
Early Life and Education
Thomas excelled as an English literature major at Holy Cross and participated in both its Black Student Union and anti-Vietnam War rallies, acting as a civil rights activist by attending anti-war rallies and advocating against unfair targeting of Black students for punishment by school administrators.
Thomas began exploring conservative political thought during this time, particularly theories of natural law arguing that laws or justice stem from nature rather than society. Additionally, he established a small business selling amateur telescopes.
Harlan Crow, a wealthy real estate developer and conservative donor, gave him many gifts, including one belonging to African American abolitionist Frederick Douglass as well as luxury vacations using Crow’s private planes and yachts.
Professional Career
Thomas has become one of the best wide receivers in NFL when healthy. Unfortunately, however, injuries have plagued him in recent seasons. With new contract negotiations underway with Derek Carr in place and hoping that may help Thomas return to form this season.
Thomas has persevered despite her injuries in order to reach her dream of becoming an elite gymnast. Her skill set encompasses strength, finesse and power; Thomas is best known for her powerful double layouts on floor as well as sky-high release moves on bars.
She is an inspiration to many and her return to Elite competition will be exciting. At this stage in her life she is prioritizing health by pacing herself and trusting the process.
Achievement and Honors
Thomas has an outstanding 3.7 grade point average and is taking advanced placement language, honors economics and honors physics II courses. Additionally, Thomas was honored with receiving the LB4 & After Foundation Scholar-Athlete Award as being an athlete who represents good character within their community.
Thomas has distinguished himself both academically and on the field for the Saints, where he is one of their top return specialists in FCS competition. Recently, he returned an 89 yard punt return touchdown against ETSU!
Thomas hopes to help the Saints regain their fortunes this season after suffering through injuries and surgeries, remaining humble throughout his journey, while fine-tuning his game and living by the mantra “get knocked down, get back up”. Thomas wants to show he still can make big plays.
Personal Life
Thomas has missed all of 2022 due to a dislocated toe and is eager to regain his strength before training camp this year. He hopes a group consisting of himself, Chris Olave, and new acquisition Derek Carr can help New Orleans return to the playoffs this season.
Thomas finds happiness outside the gym with his family and spending time on vacation together. Thomas credits this period of restful reflection with helping to further appreciate his career and focus on small victories – it also taught him how to remain hungry throughout his journey.
Net Worth
Thomas hails from a wealthy family; his name can be seen on a bridge in Charleston. Additionally, the 59-year-old has long been involved in politics as well as making money as both a reality star and businessperson; earning $25,000 for each episode of Southern Charm he stars on.
Last week, he made his long-awaited return from injury IR with a quadriceps injury, giving the second-year cornerback an opportunity to contribute significantly on special teams while possibly also seeing more playing time should Desmond King (knee) experience limitations this season.
New York Giants have been active this offseason, offering extensions to several players – most notably Saquon Barkley who signed a four-year deal worth up to $160 million.
