Steve Solheim was born in Norway’s Averoy island. Growing up between sea and mountain scapes, his early love of music manifested itself from an early age.

Solheim held several jobs outside of Quaker Oats and Valley Co-op, including carpentry work. Additionally, he attended Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls and is survived by his wife Linda; children Layne, Derek, and Heidi as well as grandchildren.
