At Release Recovery, he serves as program coordinator. Since 2015 he has been in recovery and uses this experience to assist his clients in reaching their goals. His specialty lies in working with young people in recovery and college students alike as well as helping all his clients adjust to life within New York’s recovery community.

Hornstein has not only dedicated himself to research and innovation but has also shown his service to his community through Curt’s Cafe, an organization providing workforce and life skills training for at-risk youth. Furthermore, he currently sits as a judge in New York City Criminal Court.
