Steven Garrett is an experienced litigation attorney with experience advising and representing individuals, public agencies, and Fortune 500 companies. His representation has garnered positive outcomes at arbitrations, settlement conferences and court hearings.
He currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and children, where he serves on Belmont Church on Music Row’s Pastoral Leadership team and leads radiate – its college and young adult ministry.
Early Life and Education
Steven Garrett was raised in South Park, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school he attended Texas A&M University and participated in its Corps of Cadets before moving into industrial sales where he managed pipeline, valves and fittings for several companies.
He currently practices law at the firm’s San Francisco office, representing private clients in labor and employment matters as well as commercial/directors and officers and products liability issues. A member of the California Bar Association, he has litigated in state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies.
He enjoys working out and watching stand-up comedy. Additionally, he roots for his favorite sports teams–particularly the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers. Elleyse is his younger sister. Additionally, his passion is painting; as such he travels frequently to remote places to be inspired and gain ideas for his work.
Professional Career
He is a classically trained percussionist and has spent significant time working in the music technology sector. Additionally, he advises small businesses on their technology vision as well as new hardware/software product development efforts.
He works with leaders across a range of environments including corporate, non-profit and professional service firms to develop self-awareness, identify passions and set ambitious goals – and take bold steps toward becoming the leaders they wish to become.
He practices at the firm’s downtown San Francisco, Marin County and Sacramento offices and maintains an active litigation and counseling practice, representing public agencies, private corporations and individuals in state and federal courts and administrative agencies as well as homeowners associations, property management groups and various non-profits.
Achievement and Honors
Since starting his musical career at six, Garrett has traveled widely as both singer and musician. He has been recognized by various organizations and awards – most notably Golden Globe and Grammy nominations for his outstanding talents.
Garrett is a singer/songwriter of an entirely different breed; his lyrics and musical compositions cover grand themes like love and forgiveness with passion and creativity, all the while being accessible modern sounds. While his songs may draw comparisons to artists such as John Mayer or Dave Matthews, Garrett stands apart due to their individuality and emotional intensity.
Ordained into ministry 17 years ago, he now serves as lead pastor of Radiate (a college/young adult community at Belmont Church on Music Row in Nashville). His unique talent mix and passion for encouraging people to discover their God-given potential can be seen in his three word mission statement: Create, Equip, Inspire.
Personal Life
Steven Garrett is a second generation pastor with extensive church leadership and ministry experience in creative roles. His passion lies in inspiring others to pursue their God-given destiny.
He recently launched Character Seven Productions as well – with plans to produce scripted dramas for broadcasters both sides of the Atlantic, global digital platforms like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu.
Outside of work, he enjoys playing baseball and football; triathlon; having completed six half-Ironman races. Involvement with charitable projects including Franklin Prayer House and Young Leaders Academy as well as Victory Church Nashville membership are other passions of his. Elleyse shares this love for music with both of them!

He serves as a managing director on First Eagle Alternative Credit’s Direct Lending team where he is accountable for originating, structuring and executing new investments in health care, IT services and technology sectors. His investment committee oversees loans from health care to technology lending programs.
Before becoming involved with real estate, he was the lead singer, guitarist, and principle writer for Pilgrim’s Progress, a pop rock band which toured throughout Eastern US and Europe. Additionally, he served as youth pastor at Belmont Church – a large urban, college and young adult ministry located on Nashville’s Music Row.
He is an experienced real estate agent working with residential and commercial buyers, sellers and investors. He brings creative problem-solving skills and local knowledge to every transaction – as an avid triathlete he also makes time to spend time with his family.
