Steve Stokes Joins CMYUK As Senior Digital Sales Consultant

Steve Stokes has joined digital printer and cutting equipment supplier CMYUK as senior digital sales consultant, reporting to Sue Hayward, sales director (equipment).

He specializes in developmental trauma therapy. Additionally, his private practice offers weekend retreats on recovery issues related to work and relationships as well as recovery retreats geared specifically toward men.

Early Life and Education

Stokes was from Dothan and attended college on an ROTC scholarship. Following graduation he served in the Marine Corps and attended U.S. Army Ranger School before spending time at Arlington National Cemetery arranging funerals and aiding grieving families.

Stokes began his professional life shortly after graduating from East Central University in Ada and working in the Oklahoma state education department, before later taking up director of disability concerns responsibilities – helping pass legislation to benefit people living with disabilities and their families.

Stokes and his wife Susan share two children, Yvette and Jared, as well as two granddaughters Annee and Taylor. They live in Blackshear, Alabama, and recently became the first couple ever honored with USA’s highest alumni honor – The Distinguished Alumni Award.

Professional Career

Stokes of England Blacksmithing Company is a metal-smith shop specializing in hand-forged iron gates, balconies and traditional wooden doors made to order by hand. Their products have been featured in architectural magazines as well as available online stores.

Stokes previously spent over twenty years as the Office Manager in a tax preparer’s office and has extensive knowledge in office management, accounting, customer service and tax return preparation.

She currently resides in Fairport with her husband and two dogs. When not reading or hiking, she loves spending her free time reading books and hiking trails. A graduate from Alfred State College with an Associate Degree in Human Services, she is also certified Quickbooks Pro Advisor certified as part of Core Wealth Management Group.

Achievement and Honors

Stokes earned the ICC World Cup player of the tournament title this year after his match-winning innings in the final. Additionally, a panel consisting of media representatives and former players voted him winner of Sir Garfield Sobers trophy.

In 2017, he played an instrumental role in England’s Champions Trophy squad and scored a century while also taking six wickets against South Africa over four tests. Cricinfo named him to their ODI Team of the Year list for 2017.

Stokes played an instrumental role in helping secure an innings win against South Africa during their Test series that followed, contributing 29 and 2 runs respectively to help India take an unassailable 2-1 advantage in the series.

Personal Life

Steve Stokes enjoys spending his free time playing and joking around with his three dogs Scotty, Shelby and Sophia. Additionally he shares an eternal bond with Betty Deane Petersen whom he married at Logan LDS Temple on April 24, 1970.

At retreats he facilitates, his focus is to develop relationships, men’s work and spirituality. Additionally, he has received training in Pia Melody’s Developmental Trauma Model, Radical Exposure Therapy and John Bradshaw’s Shame Reduction tools.

He serves on the University of South Alabama Board of Trustees and has made significant gifts to USA programs, students and construction projects. Together with Angelia he represents one of its largest alumni couples donors ever at USA.

Steve Stokes has been coaching boys’ basketball at Providence since 2014, building strong relationships with students while understanding their importance as role models and influences in their lives. Additionally, he serves as a frequent guest lecturer at Providence’s kinesiology department.
