Net Worth
People’s net worths serve as an accurate reflection of their financial health, representing what they own minus what they owe and changing over time. Income alone cannot give an accurate measurement of wealth whereas net worth provides this measure accurately – positive or negative.
Comparing one’s net worth with that of others is an inevitable exercise, but one should keep certain important considerations in mind when doing so. An important one is that average net worth can be heavily skewed by large net worths at the top end, whereas median net worth takes into account more households than just average net worth does.
There are various ways you can increase your net worth, from investing in stocks and real estate, reducing debt, saving money, or purchasing fractionalized shares of art by Banksy, KAWS or other artists through Masterworks.
