Coach Hardesty has over 14 years of experience recruiting at the 4-year College, Junior College and College Development/Scout baseball levels. His high energy and enthusiastic approach makes for a positive college recruitment process experience for student-athletes.
Early Life and Education
Hardesty graduated from New Bern High School where he amassed 2,002 yards and 19 touchdowns rushing. At Tennessee, Hardesty excelled as a running back and earned second team All-SEC recognition his senior season.
The Exclusive Program is an elite level recruiting program that works closely with a select few players each year to provide top-tier service and placement assistance from Coach Sclafani and his staff of college coaches.
Linda was raised in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania with her family who traveled extensively during her youth, spending time in Turkey, Italy and Florida. For over 40 years Linda was proudly employed at AM General and an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Hardesty began his career at IBM Corporation before leaving to establish DATA MAGNETICS COMPANY as a global subcontracting, manufacturing/licensing/engineering firm specializing in magnetic tape data storage technology development. Hardesty was instrumental in shaping Seagate technology.
He possesses an expansive background in high technology with particular expertise in electronics, semiconductors and information technology industries worldwide. Additionally, he possesses significant venture capital financing experience as well as private equity investment expertise. Furthermore, he holds both state and federal patent registrations, as well as having served as lead counsel in several high-profile intellectual property disputes.
Achievement and Honors
Justice Hardesty has served on numerous Nevada Supreme Court committees, such as the Commission on Access to Justice, Bench-Bar Committee, Task Force on Multi-Jurisdictional Practice and Juvenile Justice Reform Task Force. He co-chairs this task force as well.
He has over 16 years of coaching baseball at both Junior College and College Development/Scout levels, helping student athletes meet their college goals while maintaining a dynamic, high energy approach to coaching.
OSU Center for Health Sciences and National Center for Wellness and Recovery hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony July 14 to celebrate the opening of Hardesty Center, attended by members of Hardesty family. This facility will support research related to addiction and mental health research.
Personal Life
Hardesty was born in New Bern, North Carolina but his family moved around as his father served in the military – first moving to Turkey before returning to Norristown in Pennsylvania.
Prior to her arrival at Ventura College, Hardesty served as head women’s track and field coach at Dakota Wesleyan University for three seasons, where her throwers made an immense impact nationally and conference wide, including eight school records, five All-Americans, and 13 event championships in conference competition.
He offers an unparalleled network and high energy approach to scouting, recruiting, advising student-athletes through the college placement/commitment process ranging from Junior Colleges up to Power 5 Division 1 colleges. His passion and experience enable student-athletes to reach their maximum potential.
