Early Life and Education
Steve Cassell was born and raised in California by his mother Sue Ann and older brother Al. Throughout his childhood he spent most of his time at his grandparents’ farm where he learned to raise dairy cows and pigs as well as enjoy camping trips and fishing excursions with family members.
His career began with concrete construction where he served as project coordinator and concrete superintendent on large projects such as highways, hotels, parking garages, and earthquake retrofits for commercial buildings. Later he transitioned into private investigations by founding NITA.
NITA is an online investigative training academy offering state-approved licensing and certification classes. Established by an expert team of investigators and business professionals, this academy provides the highest standard of professional development to its students within the industry.
Professional Career
Cassell has spent two decades serving insurance carriers, self-insured entities, and third party administrators as an investigator and claims specialist. In 2002 he started RSight Investigations which was sold off in 2009. Today he runs Command Investigations as the preferred provider of surveillance, SIU services, antifraud programming for P&C carriers, self-insured entities, and third-party administrators.
He was featured on TNT’s NBA Fundamentals series where he detailed his unique mid-range game. In particular, retired NBA players Terrell Brandon and Jeff Hornacek inspired his style of play.
Cassell has built up an expansive network of relationships within the architectural community and serves as a wealth advisor at Carson Wealth. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses as well as life and health insurance certifications, splitting his time between Florida and upstate South Carolina.

Cassell is the co-founder and architect of Architecture Research Office in New York, an innovative practice dedicated to modern and visionary urbanism. His firm’s designs have been featured in multiple publications as well as receiving several prestigious awards and honors for excellence.
His music career spans from late-1960s psychedelia and country music through to folk-rock today; her emotive or sorrowful voice spans genres as well.
Steve Cassell Ministries serves his local church by being active on worship teams, A/V booths, mission teams and youth group director roles. Furthermore, he manages all administrative aspects for Steve Cassell Ministries while simultaneously being board president and building principal for his community foundation and owning his media business.
Personal Life
Steve Cassell was raised on his grandparents’ farm by Fern Collins and Mose Collins, with both helping him learn about dairy cows as well as driving a small tractor. Additionally, Steve participated in football and volleyball at school.
After graduating from Forreston High School in North-Western Illinois, Steve and Kay became deeply saved through an experiential knowledge of God’s nature and character. Following this encounter they moved to Fort Worth Texas for Bible college studies at Word-of-Faith Bible.
Cassell established Command Investigations in 2012 and quickly became a go-to provider of surveillance, SIU, and anti-fraud programming for P&C carriers, self-insured entities, and third-party administrators. He co-founded National Investigative Training Academy. Cassell leads Sunday services at his church’s building in Lena Illinois while encouraging members to engage in conversations and form communities together.
