Scott Baio Andy Cohen

Watch What Happens Live and Andy Cohen

If you have watched Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live for any length of time, you have probably seen his rapid-fire interrogation of A-listers. Not all celebrity encounters are equal, however. In addition to his trademark wit and humor, the show often features a high-stakes, tangled web of rumors and outright lies. This has led to some of the most memorable celebrity skirmishes of the last few years. These include Scott Baio, who claims to have dated a minor for a few years, and Nicki Minaj, who has been rumored to have a thing for Cohen.

For example, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Cohen referred to the show’s biggest star, Scott Baio, as a “sleazy sex trap”. But while Baio has denied the allegations, he has been slapped with a police report claiming he harassed and assaulted Nicole Eggert when she was a minor. The report is a bit clumsy in the details, but it isn’t surprising given the fact that Scott has spent more than five years denying the allegations.

And that’s not all Andy has been up to in his heyday. He was the Executive Vice President of Development and Talent for Bravo. As such, he has access to a slew of behind-the-scenes stories. After a few years, he launched a new production company. Among the notable guests to have appeared on his show are Joan Rivers, Ricki Lake, Liam Neeson, and Stanislav Kravchenko.

Perhaps the most notable change is the addition of an all-female cast to Watch What Happens Live. While it hasn’t made the biggest splash among viewers, it has garnered the respect of its stars. Indeed, last year the show averaged a little over one million viewers, a number which has only grown in recent years. Despite the increased female presence, however, Baio still remains the show’s most notorious guest. On one particularly bad night, Baio was so snarky that it got the host, Cohen, and his then-girlfriend Ramona Singer in a tizzy. That’s not to mention the numerous times he threw a temper tantrum on Twitter.

As a producer and a television host, it’s no surprise that Cohen is a savvy shopper. Along with his signature wit and humor, he is also adept at bringing to light the newest and hottest trends in the entertainment industry. One such example is his love for games. Whether he’s playing the Suck the Helium game or ringing in the New Year on CNN, he knows how to play.

Other notable moments from the past two years include the show’s first appearance by Madonna, and an episode devoted to the one-time guest and current rival of Cohen, Kathy Griffin. Of course, Andy and Kathy have had their share of beef. When Scott’s Twitter feud with Patton Oswald went public, Cohen took to the airwaves to defend the aforementioned political candidate. Also, while on the road to promoting his upcoming show, the host and his son were spotted hanging out on South Beach.
