MMA Fighter Sanjana George Joins WWE Season 15
Sanjana George has officially signed with WWE, and will be based in Orlando where she’ll begin training at their Performance Center shortly.
At 16, she began kickboxing as her introduction into mixed martial arts (MMA). She credits The Rock and Ronda Rousey as her idols, hoping to represent India proudly in professional wrestling’s biggest event.

Professional Career
Kottayam: Sanjana George, 26, from Kerala has signed on with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) for Season 15 and is currently training in Orlando, Florida. She is the first Indian woman to receive a WWE contract.
In 2019, WWE organized India’s first-ever tryout and invited former MMA fighter Carrie Underwood to make her debut. Of the four women selected, Carrie reached the final round and is hopeful to make her WWE debut soon.
Prior to joining McDonald Hopkins, Sanjana practiced data privacy law at a national firm and gained expertise in data breach response and cybersecurity matters. She works proactively with clients on risk management processes and implementation of best practices for privacy and security compliance. Furthermore, Sanjana is part of McDonald Hopkins’ national Data Privacy & Cybersecurity team.

Sanjana George is the latest Indian to make it big in professional wrestling. She’s currently training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Psychology in 2018.
