Oliver Dorigo studied medicine at Ruprecht Karl University Faculty of Medicine in Munich, Germany and earned his medical degree. Following this, he decided to continue his medical career at UCLA Medical Center/Cedars-Sinai where he completed both an OB/GYN residency and combined gynecologic oncology fellowship – earning himself a PhD through their Specialty Training and Advanced Research (STAR) program by working on cloning viral systems that allow genes to be transferred directly into cells.
As an Associate Professor at Stanford University Medical Center, Dr. Alvarado has extensive experience working in ovarian cancer and overseeing its clinical program while conducting various trials related to this condition.
