Noah Whalen is a Reavis College Student-Athlete
Noah Whalen caught NHR’s attention during his spring and summer work for Mitch Ohnstad’s Select 17U team in Reavis. As an exceptionally versatile guard able to play offense, defense, special teams and special teams. Reavis senior Noah Whalen caught our eye.
Lockport resident Joseph Whalen held many titles throughout his life, such as artist, teacher and community activist. One of his final sketches was used to promote YWCA’s anti-domestic violence message at hospitals, doctors’ offices and other locations around town.
Early Life and Education
Noah Whalen hails from Tonawanda, NY where he attended Kenmore West High School where he played baseball, basketball and football. Noah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Individual Studies from the University at Buffalo and is currently working towards his Master’s Degree.
He has served as both a camp counselor for the Hoop Group and intern with the Philadelphia 76ers, providing assistance to coaches, players, and front office executives with daily operations of these organizations.
The Whalen family has been attending FCA Regional Sports Camp every summer for sixteen years and have seen Emery play basketball and baseball while Cambria and Noah attend Little Kids Camps. Camp is an environment where faith plays an integral role.
Professional Career
Whalen was an ardent fan of the New York Mets growing up, so when drafted by them in 2012 he made the decision to skip college and sign directly with them instead of attending university. After several seasons playing minor league ball with Seattle Mariners he eventually got called up into major league baseball where he enjoyed some success before ultimately opting out due to anxiety and depression.
Noah Campbell-White and Supervisor Anne Whalen, two outstanding employees who represent ONU’s Student Employee of the Year 2021 awards were recognized at an exclusive surprise ceremony on April 7th 2021. Both nominees had received numerous nominations from students, faculty and staff members alike due to the hard work they perform for our community.
Achievement and Honors
Noah Whalen is an accomplished scholar and leader who has won multiple awards over his distinguished career, such as the Team Impact Award which honors teams that are making significant strides to address some of today’s most urgent problems.
She is also a member of the National Honor Society and earned recognition as an Academic A-B Honor Roll student three times during high school. Additionally, she was recognized for two All Tournament teams and all Conference honors during basketball competition.
At Olivet Nazarene University, she also works as the Assistant Director of Admissions. In 2021, she was honored with the Olivet Nazarene University Student Employee of the Year award while Anne Whalen received Student Employment Supervisor of the Year honors – awards that recognize individuals for making significant contributions towards ONU’s success.

Geraldine Edna Whalen, born in Tiskilwa Illinois to Alfred Deloss and Eunice Cleo Kelly passed into Heaven peacefully on April 9, 2020 at her Oklahoma City home.
Robert Whalen will always remember her fondly; their children Nonie Whalen, Jeanne Turner (Mark), Marianne Panchot and Billy Whalen; as well as grandchildren Billy Whalen, Kaylie Braunstein Melissa Still David Kuehnell Sylas Panchot; great-grandchildren Owen Noah Liam Finn Dudley as well as numerous nieces nephews cousins who mourn her passing. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Brianna and Marinette – her caregivers during this difficult period – who provided her care during this difficult period.
