McDonald’s Teaming Up With Travis Scott

When McDonald’s announced it was teaming up with the superstar rapper Travis Scott, it was expected to bring a lot of attention. Indeed, the two companies have already teamed up with other industry players like Nike and Reese’s Puffs for a variety of marketing and promotional endeavors. For the time being, the two are focusing on their partnership.

While the partnership has yet to produce any major product or service innovations, it has been able to generate a slew of viral and media buzz. Some of the more exciting developments include the launch of a new branded merchandise collection and the announcement of a charitable collaboration.

The best part of the deal is that fans will be able to sample Travis Scott’s favorite food items at select locations. This includes a limited edition Motherboard II hoodie emblazoned with the Cactus Jack logo. In addition, McDonald’s has also introduced a special menu item for Travis Scott: a $7 meal. As part of the collaboration, the meal will benefit various charitable organizations throughout the month of September.

Aside from the food, the company has also unveiled its latest hot toy list for the holidays. On display is the Air Jordan x Travis Scott collaboration, which trades for more than $1,000 on the resale market. Fans are also treated to a number of other surprises, including a “Bold” x Scott McCaughey collaboration.

Although this is the first celebrity-themed item to appear on the menu in over two decades, the collaboration also contains a couple of high-tech options. First, the new combo meal is a cinch to make. Fans will be able to choose from an assortment of meats, cheeses and sauces to create the burger of their dreams. Other choices include a Quarter Pounder with cheese and a bacon sandwich. To top it off, it comes with a few nifty add-ons, including ketchup, mustard, lettuce and BBQ sauce.

However, the true test of a good collaboration is not just the food and the promotional products, but how the two entities interact. To that end, McDonald’s has enlisted the help of a host of partners, from Nike to Air Jordan to the Cactus Jack records label, to create a variety of fun and unique products that pay homage to the McDonald’s brand.

One of the more intriguing components of the deal is the t-shirt. The Mcdonald x Travis Scott collection will feature a number of “custom” t-shirts designed by independent artists, along with a variety of other t-shirts based on various McDonald’s themes. These items are all printed on high-quality products, in socially responsible ways. Furthermore, the company’s employees have received their own “Cactus Jack” t-shirts.

If the buzzworthy item isn’t your cup of tea, you can always order a Cactus Jack from the comfort of your own home. The restaurant will offer this special meal for a limited time, so don’t miss out! Also, the snazzy new Cactus Jack x McDonald’s branded apparel will debut later this fall.
