Early Life and Education

John Stinekraus was raised in Helenwood, Tennessee and Knoxville before attending high school there. Afterwards he earned a degree in education and worked as an educator for several years until retiring. John thoroughly enjoyed his job and was immensely proud of the students he had the honor to teach. When not working, John enjoyed sailing with Janette and traveling throughout America as well as abroad with them. Additionally, John was active with both Marine Raider Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), serving as officer in several organizations; plus he belonged to Loyal Order of Moose and Fleet Reserve too!

He was born in Oneida, TN and passed away on March 2, 2014 at 85 years of age. Survived by his wife Janette and children William Stinekraus and Laura Hammock, he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will endure forever.
