John Presnick

John Presnick was a forensic nurse renowned for her patient care and advocacy on behalf of those suffering from mental illness. Tragically, John succumbed last week from a massive stroke.

He ran for first selectmen throughout the 1990s and formed the Orange Taxpayers Party, which achieved official minority party status in 1999, 2001, and 2003. At his funeral service on March 18, dozens of politicians attended, including Democratic and Republican first selectmen.

Early Life and Education

John Presnick was born in 1921 to John Bresnick and Julia Bresnak of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He passed away June 6th 1988 at 67 years old after belonging to the United Methodist Church of New Milford, Connecticut for 25 years. Survived by his son Anthony Hehl Jr. of Severna Park, Maryland; daughter Cathleen Presnick (with husband Brad) of Suffield, Connecticut; sister Anne Huber from Mamaroneck, New York; many in-laws, nieces and nephews; Colonial Funeral Home of New Milford handled arrangements.
