John Pokorny is an entrepreneur who is known for the development of ProductionHUB, a company that helps companies and producers find reliable crew and vendors. He founded the company to help solve two major issues in the industry: finding qualified and experienced crew and cost-effective ways to advertise locally.
He also serves as a consultant to several Fortune 500 companies and has provided economic and financial analysis for numerous commercial litigation matters, including securities, bankruptcy, and market manipulation.
In 2019, she was selected as the first female Inspector General for the MTA, a position that required her to take on big societal challenges like homelessness, policing, and overtime abuse. Under her leadership, the Inspector General’s office recouped millions of dollars for the MTA and New York State.
Achievements and Honors
A firefighter for over 60 years, John Pokorny is also an active community leader. He currently serves as president of the Weston Volunteer Fire Department, a 70-member volunteer organization that responds to 550 fire and medical emergencies each year.
Moreover, he is a tuba player who performs with the Chicago Symphony and many other orchestras worldwide. He also conducts tuba workshops and seminars with the Chicago Symphony.
In addition to his extensive training and career, he has spent time teaching police officers, first-responders and other law enforcement professionals in a wide variety of fields, including firearms and tactical response, report writing, racial profiling and numerous other topics. He is the recipient of several awards for his contributions to law enforcement training.
Personal Life
John Pokorny has been a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. His witty humor and contagious energy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
His dedication to serving his community has earned him accolades including a Weston Volunteer Fire Department award. He is also a long time member of the Hays Rotary Club and the VFW.
Mike was self-employed as a crop insurance agent, agriculture land real estate broker and appraiser. He was a proud Cubs fan and enjoyed duck hunting, traveling and spending time with family. He is survived by his wife Joan of Lincoln, daughters Christopher and Matthew of Lincoln, step-daughter Erin of Nebraska, granddaughter Ashton and Carson Campbell and Ryland Martin.
