John Fanelli has been a long-standing member of the NBA. He played the role of Ray, the son of basketball legend Larry Bird, for many years. Fanelli also was a member of the Cumberland Soaring Group. During World War II, he was a decorated B-24 bomber pilot.
A renowned educator, John Fanelli was named Principal of the Year by the Flagler Schools district. His accomplishments include the development of the Lighthouse Youth Theater in Thornwood and the establishment of Standing Ovation Studios in Lakewood. Having served as a former Palm Coast City Councilman, Fanelli is no stranger to public service. Currently, he is the district’s Behavior Coordinator. In his professional life, he has also authored a book, worked in the field of insurance, and has even run for office.

Aside from being a teacher, John Fanelli has been involved in many other endeavors. He is a Specialty Wholesale Insurance Broker with ARC Financial Group. He is a former Palm Coast City Councilman. He is also an active horse owner.
One of his most notable achievements is his production of the short film Spare Change. This movie was made in collaboration with Eli Roth’s Crypt TV, a short form horror show, and was viewed over 500,000 times in less than two days.
Other notable accolades include: winning the national player of the week, pitching a shutout inning against William Paterson and being the varsity team’s leading scorer. These achievements are complemented by his work as an assistant principal at Wadsworth Elementary School.
