John Fanelli has been a long-standing member of the NBA. He played the role of Ray, the son of basketball legend Larry Bird, for many years. Although he retired in 2011, he still remains a fan favorite. He is one of the best players in the NBA and has been able to achieve much during his career. As well as being a great player, Fanelli has also been a great teammate.

Early Life and Education

John Fanelli’s early life and education took place in South Philadelphia, New York. He was the son of Frank Fanelli and Rose Fanelli. When he was growing up, he worked for his father’s amusement business. His favorite destinations were Italy.

After graduating from high school, he entered the Army. While in the service, he served as a flight crew member on AM-3 airships.

In the late 1940s, Fanelli operated a popcorn trailer at events in the area. That same year, he bought his first Ferris wheel and merry-go-round. The following year, he moved his operation to a large tent.

Fanelli also was a member of the Cumberland Soaring Group. During World War II, he was a decorated B-24 bomber pilot.

A renowned educator, John Fanelli was named Principal of the Year by the Flagler Schools district. His accomplishments include the development of the Lighthouse Youth Theater in Thornwood and the establishment of Standing Ovation Studios in Lakewood. Having served as a former Palm Coast City Councilman, Fanelli is no stranger to public service. Currently, he is the district’s Behavior Coordinator. In his professional life, he has also authored a book, worked in the field of insurance, and has even run for office.

In the realm of educational pursuits, there is a great deal of competition for the title of best teacher, but Fanelli has made it his mission to make sure he is doing his part to provide his students with the most up-to-date information available. He has spent the last few years figuring out a way to keep his students engaged while balancing the demands of his duties.

Aside from being a teacher, John Fanelli has been involved in many other endeavors. He is a Specialty Wholesale Insurance Broker with ARC Financial Group. He is a former Palm Coast City Councilman. He is also an active horse owner.

One of his most notable achievements is his production of the short film Spare Change. This movie was made in collaboration with Eli Roth’s Crypt TV, a short form horror show, and was viewed over 500,000 times in less than two days.

Other notable accolades include: winning the national player of the week, pitching a shutout inning against William Paterson and being the varsity team’s leading scorer. These achievements are complemented by his work as an assistant principal at Wadsworth Elementary School.

When you think of John Fanelli’s Personal Life, you would probably think of his role as Conrad Birdie on the CBS television show “Tiz the Law.” But did you know that Fanelli was also a successful owner of amusement rides? And did you know that he had a knack for writing and acting?

In addition to being the founder of Fanelli Amusements, he was also a member of the New England Showmans Association, Sons of Italy, and the Knights of Columbus. He also was involved with local politics and served as a Palm Coast city councilman.

During his tenure with Fanelli Amusements, he purchased the first merry-go-around and Ferris wheel in 1960. He also restored many merry-go-rounds and amusement rides.
