Jack Dobbs hails from Charles City Iowa. While at Tennessee he earned first team All-region honors as both an undergraduate and postgraduate football player. Additionally he played baseball earning first team All-region status for both sports.

They relocated after the Rovers fire.

Personal Life

Gladys Dobbs was his wife. As an active Quaker he wrote booklets and taught creative music workshops to prison inmates. Living high up on Haytor Vale Dartmoor he enjoyed playing piano, writing preludes and fugues and keeping in contact with family and friends through correspondence.

Jack first made an appearance on Coronation Street from 2012 until March 2014 and again from April to September 2014. Played by actor Michael Le Vell, Jack was in Germany at the time of Rovers Fire before returning home after Kevin suffered a heart attack.

He was an active member of the Church of England, serving on numerous committees. Additionally, he served as trustee of his local Community Centre as well as many charities that were close to his heart.
