Early Life and Education
Isaac Mizrahi was born in Brooklyn on October 14th 1961. After attending Yeshiva of Flatbush for seven years he matriculated at both High School for Performing Arts and Parsons School of Design before pursuing further study in architecture at Columbia University.
At just 10, he began sewing costumes for puppets at birthday parties around his neighborhood. By 13, he had graduated to clothing and began saving babysitting money so he could buy fabrics and sewing machines.
