Glier’s Best Deer Processing Will Not Process Deer in the 2021 Hunting Season

Glier’s Best Deer Processing, which processes deer in Covington, Kentucky, has announced that it will not process deer during the 2021 hunting season. The company said that the decision was made to better position itself for the 2022 season. Owner Kerry Schall said that the company processes hundreds of deer each season.

It’s possible to process deer with the bones intact, although it’s not very common. Deer with bones in can be cross-sawn into round steaks, loin chops with T-bone intact, and other cuts. Bone-in butchering adds flavor and extra juice to the meat, which hunters can use for other purposes.
