Early Life and Education
Elizabeth Hudson ’15 knew from a young age that she wanted to be an educator. After attending SUNY Potsdam and earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, Elizabeth worked as a student teacher during her final year of school – which helped her land her first teaching job after graduation. To this day, Elizabeth pursues her passion for teaching by serving as Editor-in-Chief of Our State magazine – an 88 year-old publication which celebrates North Carolina’s history and culture.

George Koeckritz has had a storied career in Washington, DC. He is renowned for his business innovation and leadership abilities as well as his devotion to family and philanthropy. In addition to serving on school boards, he founded Imperial Bancorp with his partners.
He has been recognized for his achievements through the Graziadio Awards, established in his honor and given to students who embody the Best for the World Leadership standard. Additionally, he received the 2022 Distinguished SFU Professor title as president of Imperial Bancorp for over fifteen years. With a net worth of $2 million dollars, he resides in Washington D.C. with his wife. As a retired Army Captain, he remains involved with several community organizations.

Additionally, George loves sports – something which has won him admiration among colleagues too. With a career spanning more than three decades, George Koeckritz is both a proud father to four children and has made numerous charitable contributions throughout his community.
