George Klidonas

George Klidonas is a partner in Latham & Watkins LLP’s Restructuring & Special Situations Practice. He provides advice to privately and publicly held companies, creditors, distressed investors, equity owners/sponsors, committees and senior management on in-court and out-of-court restructurings, chapter 11 cases and other financially troubled situations.

He previously held a secondment at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts’ Special Situations Group. In this role, he assisted KKRaEUR(tm)s investment team with current portfolio investments as well as new investment opportunities such as rescue financing, debtor-in-possession/exit financings, recapitalizations/equity investments and distressed trades.

Additionally, he represents boards of directors, board committees and senior management on matters pertaining to fiduciary duty, corporate governance and other legal concerns. Furthermore, George works alongside top investment banking professionals on debtor-in-possession financings and exit financings. Aside from his legal skillset, George is an devoted family man as a father to three children.

He recently returned from four years on secondment at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P in the Special Situations Group, where he provided advice on current portfolio investments and assisted the KKR team with new investment opportunities such as rescue financings, debtor-in-possession or exit financings, recapitalizations, distressed trades and other opportunistic investments.
