George Hartman is an American businessman and architect best known as the founder and principal of Hartman-Cox Architects in Washington, DC.
He holds both an undergraduate degree in architecture from Princeton University and a master’s in design from Columbia University. Additionally, he is cofounder of Novira Therapeutics, a clinical stage company which discovers and develops small molecule antivirals for treating chronic hepatitis B infection.

George Hartman was born in Shelby County, Illinois on July 10, 1868 and grew up on a farm. He attended various schools while growing up.
