The World’s Fattest Cat Lives in a Hotel!
The world’s fattest cat is now at its fifth home. Meatball is an ex-street cat from Plymouth, England. She was dumped at a shelter after her previous owner passed away. She was seventeen pounds when she first arrived at Woodside Sanctuary. After four adoptions, she was placed on a strict diet to lose weight. She now weighs in at 11 pounds.
Logan is quite friendly and is even friendly with the hotel’s guests. Owners and guests started sharing pictures of Logan on social media, and the cat quickly became a popular pet. People came to the hotel wanting to meet Logan. In fact, the ‘fattest cat in the world’ now lives in a hotel in New Hampshire!
Barsik is 41 pounds, five pounds less than the Guinness World Record. Although he is not the fattest cat, Barsik is at least twice as large as the average cat. The rescue organization Anjellicle Cats Rescue in New York rescued the pair from a shelter and tried to find him a new home, but the adoption proved to be a challenge.
If you want to help Barsik’s fight against obesity, consider donating to the Anjellicle Cats Rescue to help pay for his care. You can also keep up to date with his weight loss journey by following his social media pages. This beautiful cat is still available for adoption. And if you can’t afford to help, consider adopting a cat at the shelter!
