Rapper Dre and His Transgender Wife Are Divorcing

Despite their 24 years of marriage, rapper Dre and his wife Nicole Young are divorcing. Nicole is accusing Dre of abuse and he is trying to fight the allegations. The pair are in a custody battle over two children. Dre has four children from previous relationships, including a son with his ex-love interest Michel’le. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Transgender Coalition, the Penn State Health CHNA Health Equity Task Force, and the Pennsylvania Transgender Coalition Training and Education Committee.

Dre and Nicole Young have two children together, a son and a daughter. The couple have two homes in Pacific Palisades and Brentwood. However, their son is not a fan of the media and likes to stay out of the spotlight.

Dre and Nicole Young were married in 1996. Dre was 16 years old at the time. His father, Theodore Young, and mother, Verna Young, divorced in 1972. Dre’s father has a strained relationship with his mother. His mother is a Harlingen Consolidated Independent school teacher and remarried Warren Griffin. Dre’s son, Curtis Young, was born in 1981. He is thirty years old and likes to stay out of the spotlight.

Nicole and Dre married in 1996 after dating for four months. Their daughter, LaTanya Danielle Young, was born in 1983. Dre and Nicole were married for twenty four years and have two children. They were both born from previous relationships.

In the mid-1990s, Dre met his wife Nicole when he was still married to Sedale Threatt. Dre and Nicole Young had a daughter together, Truly, in 2001. They welcomed a son, Marcel Young, in 1991. The couple have two other children from previous relationships, LaTanya and Curtis.

Nicole Young’s divorce filing came on Monday, June 29, 2020. Her lawyer Samantha Spector said that the couple were no longer living in the same house. She also cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She claims Dre never paid child support after the couple’s rise to fame.

Nicole is also seeking spousal support from Dre. Dre is required to pay her $300,000 per month. In addition to spousal support, Dre and Nicole are negotiating over the division of their properties. Dre will keep some of the money he has earned, while Nicole will get the rest. He will also keep four vehicles, jewelry, and bank accounts.

Nicole and Dre are also arguing over the validity of their prenuptial agreement. During their divorce, a judge will decide who gets what. According to the agreement, if the couple is married and acquires property in both names, the property will be considered community property. If the couple is divorced, the property will be divided equally.

Dre’s father, Theodore Young, is a divorced father of five. He has a strained relationship with his son. Dre has made policy recommendations for a more accessible legal name change system. Dre has worked with other members of the Pennsylvania Transgender Coalition, including his former love interest Michel’le. He is also partnering with Wellspan Health to provide education to the community on transgender affirming policies.
