David Point – A Man With a Flaw

For centuries, David has been held up as the epitome of perfection. However, Stanford’s Digital Michelangelo Project recently revealed a slight flaw in David: his left eye gazes forward while his right looks away at an unknown point.

Michelangelo intentionally created this sculpture with slightly crossed-eyed eyes to pay homage to ancient Roman master sculptors. Furthermore, this shows us the statue may not be as perfect as we once believed.

Early Life and Education

Early years are critical in a child’s development and learning capacity. Whether positive or negative, the experiences and environments they endure during those formative years will shape their life outcomes for decades to come.

Children develop essential social skills during their formative years, such as self-regulation of emotions, expression and respect. These abilities will serve them well in later activities like problem-solving and healthy risk taking.

Similar to early emotional skills like self-confidence and positive self-belief, early emotional skills such as small class sizes and teacher interaction time in the early years are developed. These foundational abilities enable children to learn new concepts more effectively and persist when they don’t understand something.
