Real estate developer Daniel Oberpriller is no stranger to controversy in the real estate world. As co-founder and owner of CPM Companies – one of Minneapolis’ busiest apartment developers – he soon found himself the subject of much scrutiny from those involved with its development and property management activities. Since then he has co-founded North Bay Cos – a development and property management company dedicated to “boutique” multifamily and mixed-use properties; Oberpriller is widely seen as an industry thought leader.

Early Life and Education

Daniel Oberpriller co-founded and co-owned Minneapolis-based CPM Companies, one of the busiest apartment developers in the Twin Cities. After several years, in 2017 he established North Bay Company to focus on development and property management services. A widely recognized thought leader, Daniel is known for identifying development potential in overlooked markets and neighborhoods; for his vision he earned himself recognition on Twin Cities Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty list in 2013. Daniel also serves on both boards at CPM Companies: University of Minnesota Foundation Board as well as University Medical Center Trustee Board Membership Board as well.
