Daniel Hostettler is president of The Boca Raton Resort & Club, an opulent luxury resort that’s currently under transformation. He shares his insights into this exciting process involving both legacy and modernization as they work toward reaching 25 stars by 2025.

He comes to us from the Northeast where he led Ocean House Management Collection – including five-star Ocean House in Watch Hill and Weekapaug Inn properties.

Early Life and Education

Hostettler is an avid community supporter and deeply cares for Lawson as his hometown.

Daniel enjoys creating games on PC in his spare time. One of his latest projects, Karlson: Multiplayer Survival Game is set for release via Steam sometime soon.

On YouTube, he regularly publishes devlog videos showing his progress learning the Particle System of Unity. He has amassed an audience known as boners who regularly challenge him to develop games such as multiplayer survival titles; accepting these challenges and doing everything possible to meet them.

He brings with him extensive experience to Boca Raton, having previously held positions as President and Managing Director of Ocean House Management Collection – comprising five-star Ocean House as well as sister property Weekapaug Inn in Watch Hill, Rhode Island – as well as North American President for Relais & Chateaux.

Hostettler has always had a keen interest in luxurious hospitality; spending summers growing up in Switzerland among some of its premier practitioners contributed greatly to his passion. Running his hotel collection thus makes perfect sense.

Hostetler has over 10 years of experience as a senior partner and director for an international management consulting firm, overseeing over 300 consultants during that time.

His accomplishments earned him inclusion on Cleveland Magazines “Cleveland 500”. This honor recognizes leaders from every aspect of business, professional, governmental, entertainment and nonprofit sectors across NE Ohio.

In 2014, he received the Provost’s Award for Excellence in Service as well as receiving both the University’s Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award and Kika de la Garza Fellowship Award. Additionally, he launched numerous projects within Plant Sciences Department including Pumpkin Festival, AGRIscapes Center and Horsehill Vineyards; raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for scholarships and farm operations thanks to him.

Personal Life

Hostettler is both husband and father to two; as president of Relais & Chateaux North America he brings 38 years of hotelier expertise as CEO, president, and managing director to Relais & Chateaux.

He is widely recognized for his leadership style which emphasizes collaboration and communication. He believes in taking risks to increase learning experiences.

He enjoys spending his free time outside work with his wife and two children, fishing, college basketball, gab, pets and keeping in touch with friends from all backgrounds. He is a member of United Christian & Presbyterian Church in Lawson, MO.
