Dan Brack has always had an ability to see something positive even from seemingly catastrophic losses in life, and he often turns them into opportunities. One such way was when his sister passed away unexpectedly – one person can always find an upside even in darkest clouds!
He leaves behind his wife Dianna Brant of Oxford; sisters Maura Widell and Lisa Heath both from Manchester; Joan Brack Asbury from Oxford and Susan Woodson from Fort Worth, TX; fifteen nieces and nephews; as well as two grandsons Corey and Dustin.
After enjoying an impressive college and professional baseball career, Brack retired from playing. However, last year he found himself back out on the field – this time as part of an Olympic baseball team in Greece! As the only American to make it onto this roster – he knew it was something he couldn’t pass up.

Achievement and Honors
Brack’s early conventional style developed into a more modernist one over time. His early significant works in this vein appeared during the 1950s; these included Collins Street 5pm (1955), which depicts rush hour in postwar Melbourne against an unappealing backdrop of browns to comment upon contemporary Australian culture and highlight its conformity.
Dan Brack is not only an accomplished artist; he also dedicates much of his time and efforts to helping underprivileged children. After his own son passed away from a skiing accident, Brack decided to use his experience and work towards helping other children in need instead of becoming bitter over such tragedy. Since then he has dedicated much of his life to doing just this.
Daniel Brack was married to Wende Caporale; together, they had one child. Daniel was close with both his family and friends, including dance partner Dianna; his cowboy Tony; watching old westerns; and collecting antique Farmalls.
His early conventional style gradually transitioned into an exciting, hard-edged painting style. His 1950s and 60s works delved into contemporary Australian culture – such as Collins St at 5PM 1955 which showcased Melbourne rush hour scenes set against a dull palette of browns and greys; an astute statement about everyday routine.
