Dancing With The Star Elimination
Dancing With the Stars Eliminations
A new season of Dancing With the Stars is in the books, and the show has eliminated a number of celebrity contenders from the competition. However, there are still two weeks left in the competition. The finale will air on Disney+ on Monday, November 21. DWTS is currently relying on audience votes to determine who wins the competition, but the judges are also still deciding who goes home.
This week, two celebrity couples went home. The last time two finalists were eliminated in the same episode was during the fourth week of Season 29. This year, the competition is much more like a traditional ballroom dance competition. But there was no room for mistakes. Some contestants scored less than perfect 10s, and some others were called out for sloppy footwork.
The lowest-scoring couple of the night was Daniel Durant and Britt Stewart. Their jazz routine shocked viewers. But their dance also earned them the lowest overall score of the season. The other bottom-ranking couple was Gleb Savchenko and Shangela. Fortunately for Shangela, the judges decided to save her.
The first celebrity to go home this season is Martin Kove. The couple were not allowed to perform a jive. Instead, they performed a paso doble to the Maneskin song. Even though the judges did not give them a perfect 10 in the waltz, they did score the highest in the rumba. Their scores were 24 out of 40.
The next two finalists to go home were JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson. Both danced a cha-cha. While the judges liked the cha-cha, they did not give them a perfect 10. So, the duo was eliminated. The other couples that went home tonight were Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater, and Daniel and Britt. They were both given the lowest scores of the night, but were not saved by the judges.
On the same episode, Kim Zolciak-Biermann withdrew from the show. She suffered a mini stroke and a blood clot during rehearsal. In addition, her husband, Ray Lewis, injured his toe.
In other news, former reality star and weather anchor Sam Champion was saved from elimination. He was not chosen as the winner of the season, but his performance impressed the judges. He will be on Good Morning America tomorrow. He said that he wants to see the cast again in the future.
During the final round of the season, a couple of the celebrity couples are in danger of being eliminated. The contestants will have to perform a ballroom dance and a Latin number. In addition, there is no room for mistakes, and the judges will be extra choosy in their critiques. This means that the two couples with the worst scores of the night may end up going home tonight.
With only two weeks left to go, the “Dancing with the Stars” season 31 finale is set for Monday, November 21. It will feature a homage to the movie Disney+ and a dance party.
