Lowell Campbell Was Killed in a Casper Wyoming Car Accident on December 17, 2011
Lowell Campbell was a Mills, Wyoming resident who was killed in a car accident on Casper Mountain Road on December 17, 2011. He was born in Drumright, Oklahoma, on February 17, 1979. Campbell attended Rawlins High School and later became a CDL driver for PC Transport. He was married to Kira Campbell of Casper and had two children, Winter and Forestt.
The accident occurred around 10 miles south of Naples. When the vehicle left the road, it hit the guardrail on the mountain and went airborne over the side. A witness reported seeing emergency lights on the mountain. The Highway Patrol is investigating this crash. So far this year, 129 people have been killed in Wyoming highway accidents.
It is believed that the driver of the white Mitsubishi Galant was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Speed is being investigated as a factor in this crash. Currently, the Highway Patrol is looking into whether or not the driver was inattentive.
Another driver, a male juvenile, was also injured in this wreck. His injuries were fatal. At the scene of the accident, he was found unresponsive. As a result, his death is being investigated as a contributing factor.
After the accident, a call was made to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. An officer arrived at the scene and was able to determine that the vehicle had hit a guardrail. They then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to drift. Eventually, the vehicle crossed over into the northbound lane. This caused a head-on collision with a dump truck. According to police, the vehicle had been driven by Rupert D. Goggles, Jr., 42.
There were no other passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Several vehicles were involved, including a 2003 Ford F-150. One of the passengers, Dustin H. Geiger, was also injured in the crash. If you have been in an accident, you may want to collect as much information as possible.
