Ben Fike – A Buffalo Stampede Team Defender

Ben Fike hails from Buffalo and played defense for the Buffalo Stampede team. Recently he signed to play in the 2022-23 United Soccer Professional Hockey League season; unfortunately this tragic news has left family, friends and teammates devastated.

Dominic Fike will release his sophomore album Sunburn on July 7. To tease fans further, earlier this month he shared another single titled “Ant Pile,” alongside its title track.

Early Life and Education

Early in his life, he worked as a truck driver before transitioning into teaching. He earned both a bachelor’s degree in sociology and master’s in school administration from North Carolina State University before going on to earn his doctorate at University of Maryland.

He was an active member of both Platonian Literary Society, an intimate men’s fraternal organization, and Philo, which served as male counterparts to women’s literary societies. Additionally, he served in the U.S. Navy with distinction, traveling all around the globe for service duty during his career.

Alice Fay Morrison Beck of Soperton survives, as do their three children: Jason Beck, Alison Beck Cox (Nathan), Dwayne Jackson and Brenna, Brady Anderson Brianna and Bristol Fike as well as several great-grandchildren and nephews/nieces.

Fike is a well-known entertainer known for combining quick wit, humorous storytelling and inspirational messages of God’s grace into unforgettable performances. He has shared the stage with leading entertainers such as Bob Hope, Jerry Clower and Zig Ziglar as he engages the crowd through banjo, guitar and even his hands while creating unforgettable song parodies of classic hits he also discusses the importance of humor as a way of living life to its fullest.

John Fike’s father, Thomas Lanman Fike, relocated his family from Illinois as the frontier moved west. Later that same year he relocated again – first to Newton County Missouri then Tarkio in Missouri’s northwest corner in 1876.

Fike’s size and tales from his time spent with Elvis have led many books written about Presley to refer to him as being larger-than-life. He holds great affection for Elvis; their storied relationship was one of his life’s highlights. Fike is survived by Cyndy; sons Rick and Joel; daughters Lacyee Wallace and Tailyn Jones; as well as seven grandchildren.
