Arianne Adams serves as Senior Vice President and Head of Derivatives for Cboe Global Markets. In this capacity, she oversees daily operations of our options and futures businesses as well as our client services team which identifies new investors while providing educational programs about our products that promote global adoption.

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, she held Equity Derivative Sales roles at both Capstone Investment Advisors and Merrill Lynch, holding NASD Series 3, 7, 63, and 55 licenses.

Early Life and Education

Arianne Adams grew up in an environment filled with high achievers. Both of her parents, a minister and former teacher respectively, were highly educated individuals who instilled a love of learning into their children – the result was Arianne receiving an outstanding education at school – becoming one of the highest performing students and ultimately being honored as valedictorian and one of their senior class’ most outstanding graduates.

Adams Street Legal Department. As part of Adams Street Legal, she provides regulatory compliance support and other legal support for managed entities within Adams Street’s portfolio, while also helping clients with various matters. Over her time at Adams Street Legal she has assisted with pooled investment fund formation as well as their daily legal operations.

Professional Career

She began as a dancer before transitioning into choreographer and director roles for theater, film, video and commercials. Additionally, she is an esteemed producer of dance having collaborated with companies both locally and worldwide.

At present, she serves as Senior Vice President, Head of Derivatives and Global Client Services at Cboe Global Markets. In this position she oversees a team that identifies and educates potential investors for Cboe’s options and futures products while helping existing clients access markets whenever necessary.

She currently works out of Cboe’s San Antonio office and holds both NASD Series 3 and 7 licenses, in addition to having obtained her degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University. Prior to Cboe, she held positions such as Vice President and Head of Electronic Options Sales for Equity Derivatives business at Goldman Sachs.

Achievement and Honors

During her college career, she received numerous honors in mathematics including winning both gold and silver medals as well as receiving recognition as most outstanding actuarial science major from Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania. Furthermore, Thiel honored her by awarding its highly sought after Student of the Year title for spring semester study.

She was the only female recipient of this honor in Thiel College history and holds numerous distinctions such as being part of the Thiel Tomcat Marching Pride as well as leading a student-led team which won a varsity golf tournament tournament in 2014.

Arianne Adams has made an outstanding impactful since day one. As Senior Vice President and Head of Derivatives and Global Client Services for Cboe Global Markets Inc, she oversees enhancement of options and futures market offerings while guaranteeing investors have access to those products when and where needed.

Personal Life

Speaker Adams is the first Black woman ever elected to New York City Council, serving as leader of its Budget Negotiating Team and advocating for investments in cultural institutions, health care services, digital access for children and adults, food pantries in her community and small business assistance services.

She is an active member of both the NAACP and National Action Network, acting as a voice on issues that matter.

She attended Emmaus High School and Penn State University, is married with two children and holds a Bachelor’s of Psychology with an Early Childhood Development focus. Currently she works at Cboe Global Markets having previously held positions as Vice President, Head of Electronic Options at Goldman Sachs.
