Born during the first decade of the 20th century, Adams witnessed rapid social, technological, political, and intellectual advances – an experience with which he struggled to come to terms.
Early childhood education focuses on supporting the key developmental milestones and skills children reach during this crucial period. From social-emotional skills to literacy and numeracy development, early learning is vitally important to a child’s future health, education and economic success.
ED offers several programs that help early learning and development, such as Promise Neighborhoods and Full Service Community Schools grants that target high-need communities to create school-based support systems of services and supports for them.
