Prior to Maine, Shemansky spent four seasons playing with coach Sean Tremblay and the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL), earning both Regular Season and Junior National Champion leading scorer status – amassing 57 points (18 goals, 37 assists in 33 games).

Shemansky reversed Boston College’s 3-2 lead with an equalizing power-play goal 14 minutes into the third period at Alfond Arena in Orono on Friday and earned himself recognition as an Hockey East Scholar-Athlete.

IN 2011-12: Played all 40 games for the Black Bears last season… Scored 11 goals and added 10 assists for 21 points… Recorded his first career hat trick against Clarkson (11/26)… Selected to Hockey East All-Academic Team.

Prior to Maine, Shemansky played under coach Sean Tremblay with the New Hampshire Junior Monarchs of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) under head coach Jason Cohn where he helped win both regular season and Junior National Championship titles during 2007-08. Additionally he was selected for inclusion on EJHL All-Star team.
