Early Life and Education
Adam Sheffer was born December 21st 1966 in Valley Stream, New York. He currently works as a sports writer and television analyst for ESPN.
He attended John F. Kennedy High School and the University of Michigan before earning a master’s degree in education at Northwestern Medill School of Journalism.
Sheffer entered the art world as a gallery assistant at Robert Miller and Mary Boone galleries. Now he serves as Partner and Sales Director at Cheim & Read in New York City, representing artists like Ghada Amer, Chantal Joffe and Tal R.
He married Sharri Maio and they are raising two children together; Devon and Dylan. Sharri’s former husband Joe Maio died during the September 11, 2001 bombings that occurred in New York.
