Early Life and Education

At Colgate University, Coccari began his career with both a psychology degree and associate teaching job. While working on his educational app that disguised math practice as video gaming, he realized a true passion for creating visual products – from project management, design, marketing and so on – and in so doing discovered his true calling – leading both M12 (the firm’s venture fund) and SeaChange Fund – early-stage startups located in the Pacific Northwest respectively. Coccari later served on Redfin’s board as well.

Professional Career

Adam Coccari’s path to Microsoft was not what one might expect for a recent college graduate embarking on an IT industry career. Instead, it began with a psychology degree, teaching job and the hope of convincing fourth and sixth-grade children that math doesn’t need to be boring homework chore. Coccari created an app that disguises math practice within video game gameplay – and soon discovered his passion was creating visual products along with all their associated project management, design and marketing tasks.

Since then, he’s been involved with Microsoft cloud marketing, designing new Web-based dashboards to assist marketers and maximizing their efforts. Additionally, he serves as managing partner at SeaChange Fund, a pre-seed to series A venture capital fund in Seattle.
